Joel Tong's path to building JOKABATO Construction began thousands of miles from Quincy, Massachusetts, on the construction sites of Europe, where he cut his teeth on complex commercial builds, historic restorations, and demanding residential projects across the continent.

Those formative years in Europe shaped a philosophy that still defines JOKABATO today: do the work right, treat the client honestly, and never cut a corner. After bringing that European standard of craftsmanship to the United States, Joel built a reputation across New England as a builder you could trust with your name, your money, and your vision.

Years ago, Joel made the hardest decision of his life, he stepped away from the company he had built to care for his beloved wife as she battled cancer. Family came first. The job sites, the deadlines, the steel and concrete, all of it could wait. She was his priority.

Sadly, Joel lost his wife. After time to grieve, heal, and reflect, he chose to return to the trade that had always defined him. Late 2025, JOKABATO Construction was relaunched and back in the construction market, not just as a business, but as a tribute. Every project Joel takes on is built in her memory, with the same love, care, and dedication he gave her.
